Summer Programs at Research Institutions
The programs listed below are located at universities, national laboratories, government agencies, and other institutions that employ researchers. They are meant to provide you with a full-time research experience so you can explore what a career in scientific research is like and learn about the preparation required. The list below (and the databases listed under) are not comprehensive, since there is no way to keep a complete list of these programs, but can give you a place to start. You can find more programs by doing a search for “‘University X’ summer research program” (where ‘University X’ is a real university) in your favorite search engine.
*** Please be aware that due to the ongoing cuts and changes to the grants that tend to fund these types of programs, the links or information below might be outdated. We will update as we find out about the changes.***
